Colossal mosaic for 'Glycemic Happiness' reflects a commitment to a holistic approach in diabetes management that values psychological well-being.
On August 21, 2024, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd. set a new Guinness World Record in Hyderabad, India, for the largest brochure mosaic logo, measuring an impressive 162 square meters. This remarkable feat highlighted the concept of "glycemic happiness" for individuals living with type 2 diabetes. The mosaic was constructed from feedback provided by healthcare professionals regarding the measurement of glycemic happiness.
Recognized as the diabetes capital of the world, India must strive to transform into the global hub of diabetes care. Addressing psycho-social factors is indispensable for a comprehensive approach to diabetes management. Dr. Reddy’s partnered with endocrinologists and diabetologists to promote glycemic happiness, raising awareness among patients, healthcare providers, and caregivers about psychological and social well-being in diabetes management.
As part of this initiative, the 'Glycemic Happiness Scale' was devised to assess glycemic happiness, which has been shared with over 7,500 healthcare professionals (HCPs), positively impacting more than 30,000 patients. Feedback indicates that an overwhelming majority of HCPs found this tool valuable. In conjunction with the trusted diabetes portfolio, this endeavor is conceived to upgrade the standard of care in diabetes management.
