This study was done to revise the literature regarding laser tonsil operation.
A recent study
illustrates that the results after laser tonsillectomy in recent years provides

This study was done to
revise the literature regarding laser tonsil operation.
In this study, a systematic analysis was performed in July 2019 searched Medline, Embase and Cochrane record for comparing laser tonsil surgical procedure with other procedures with the terms tonsillotomy, laser and tonsillectomy. For this, total of 14 articles were assessed.
Table 1- % of laser techniques used
Table 2- % of non-laser techniques used
Among the 1133 patients
who have undergone surgery, there were 2266 tonsil removals. All the
conclusions recommended that the laser procedures are advanced concerning
procedure length and intraoperative bleeding. Laser techniques also give
unclear or better results about the total healing time, postoperative
hemorrhage and pain.
The reevaluation of
results of laser surgery in recent years recommends an overall improvement.
