The Center of Disease
Control defines anemia as pregnancy hemoglobin less than 11g/dl (hematocrit
< 33%) in the 1st and 3rd
trimester and less than 10.5 g/dl (hematocrit < 32%) in the 2nd trimester while World Health Organization
defines anemia in pregnancy as hemoglobin values less than 11gm/dl.
