Background

Analgesics often prescribed to children after general anesthesia were examined in a retrospective cohort research.

Method

For analysis, 100 children with a mean age of 3.22 + 3.110 years were included. Software called DIAS was utilized for data collection. For data assessment, SPSS statistical software was utilized. The data were examined using chi-square test. Results were gathered, collated, and corresponding bar graphs were created.

Result

As found, Paracetamol was administered to 73.39% of the children, as shown in Figure 1:

There was no discernible relationship between the recommended analgesic type and age group.

Conclusion

In pediatric dentistry, Paracetamol was found to be the most commonly preferred medicine.
