When compared to other analgesics, Paracetamol was found to be the most frequently prescribed medicine for children who underwent dental intervention under general anesthesia.

Analgesics often prescribed to children after general anesthesia were examined in a retrospective cohort research.

For analysis, 100 children with a mean age of 3.22 + 3.110 years were included. Software called DIAS was utilized for data collection. For data assessment, SPSS statistical software was utilized. The data were examined using chi-square test. Results were gathered, collated, and corresponding bar graphs were created.

As found, Paracetamol was administered to 73.39% of the children, as shown in Figure 1:

There was no discernible relationship between the recommended analgesic type and age group.

In pediatric dentistry, Paracetamol was found to be the most commonly preferred medicine.
