A recent study published in the "Journal of Patient Reported Outcomes” found that the endometriosis-related fatigue impairs the overall living or multiple areas of women’s life.

Endometriosis-related fatigue is one of the most common occurrences which drastically affect the quality of life of the women. Numerous studies have shown that fatigue is one of the considerable symptoms of endometriosis; however, further studies are required to understand the influence of endometriosis-related fatigue on patients.

The study was qualitative and included one to one semi structured interviews. The study included 22 females with endometriosis-related pain of moderate to severe intensity. These women were recruited from qualitative research firms in the U.S. Women qualifying the recruitment process took part in the semi structured interviews of 45 minutes each. For qualitative analysis, the interviews were auto-recorded and transcribed.

The endometriosis-related fatigue was reported by all 22 females included in the study. Twenty-one females told researchers that the fatigue bothered them to some extent; however, the degree of severity was different for each one. The maximum number of females reported the impact of endometriosis-related fatigue on their day to day living, physical work, relationships, office work or school as shown in the following table:
