Topical treatments offer less systemic side effects, clinically significant efficacy and better
compliance even in the elderly population and polymedicated patients with LNP.
How we feel pain? Obviously, when the nerves stimulate a
pain signal following an injury somewhere in the body. But the neuropathic
pain, is somewhat different. This arises when nerves itself get damaged or
injured. Various therapeutic approaches are present to provide relief against
this pain, but the topical administration is one of the best ways. This relay

Therefore, to evaluate potential efficacy of available
therapeutic compounds to tackle localized neuropathic pain, a study was

applications for the treatment of LNP. The efficacy was checked individually on
the basis of action mechanism, pathology and quality of studies. The factors
were evaluated. With little systematic side effects and drug-drug interactions,
the field of topical therapeutics for localized neuropathic pain provides high
levels of potential efficacy.
